A meditation on integrity and its Hindi counterpart, eeman.
ईमान Eeman [ee.maa.n] is integrity: to be guided by your center in your words, thoughts, and actions. In the art, शब्द shabd (words), सोच soch (thoughts) and क्रिया kriya (actions) gather around केंद्र kendra, the center.
In the lettering, English-Roman and Hindi-Devanagari come together around one circle.
This is one of my first drawings that I printed. I used it to send notes of gratitude to the first 100 readers of My Heart Would Like Some More, Please! It was later used in Junglee Phool Journal Issue 01: Phulo Phalo, as an anchor for setting intentions at the start of the year.
May you stay true to your intentions. Write on it, frame it, or send it as a postcard.
